I went out to the pine barrens this past weekend and got some time to fly my drone around again. At the end of the trail is a fire tower I was hoping to use as a launch spot, but I didn’t love the area as it was right next to a major road, so when I was on my way back, I used it around this small pond I had photographed earlier. The sun was a bit low by this time which I wasn’t too sure how to deal with due to reflections in the water or glare from looking at it, but I think it came out okay for a second flight!
I still had some issues with circling and being too nervous about flying too far, but I did go quite a bit further this time, and I think I did a much better job not stopping for considerable periods or playing with the gimbal too much.
